SOILCARE EXPO 2009 - A ONE-STOP-SHOP DAY FOR SOIL HEALTH
AND SUSTAINABLE FARMING
SoilCare Inc. Landcare Group will be holding its annual SoilCare Expo on Tuesday,
10 November at the Wollongbar Agricultural Institute. The Expo is a One-Stop-Shop
Day for all interested persons to source products, services and information on the
latest strategies to manage and nurture our soils.
There will be a wide variety of businesses connected with sustainable farming and
soils at the Expo. They range from a large selection of soil additive products, to soil
testing advice, bush regeneration advice, equipment buy or hire, advice services
available through government departments and more.
SoilCare Chairperson, Bonnie Walker, is excited that SoilCare Inc will host Bob
Shaffer, an internationally renowned agronomist, horticulturist and consultant, to
present two free workshops on the day.
The 'Soil Health is the Foundation of Sustainable Farming' sessions will be an overall
view of the more in-depth workshops Bob will be presenting throughout that week.
His information is new, refreshing and very do-able for farmers and veggie gardeners
alike.
The goal of SoilCare Inc is to provide primary producers and others interested in soil
health the opportunity to access and share current information on sustainable soil
management practices from around the world. SoilCare Inc objectives seek to
address soil issues of sustainability and productivity to promote secure livelihoods
and vigorous communities.
